The Beechcraft Baron is a light twin‑engined piston aircraft that first flew in 1961. It is a low‑wing monoplane built on the Bonanza fuselage and the Debonair tail, and it was designed to compete with the Piper Aztec and Cessna 310. The Baron was a commercial success and remained in production for more than six decades. Textron Aviation announced in November 2025 that production would end after all current orders were filled, but parts and support will continue indefinitely.
