The Beechcraft V35B Bonanza is the last production member of the V-tail Model 35 line. Beechcraft built it from 1970 through 1982, distinct from the conventional-tail Model 33 and Model 36 branches of the Bonanza family.

History

Introduced after the V35A, the V35B began with relatively minor changes and received a substantial interior redesign for the 1972 model year. Beechcraft added a 24-volt electrical system in 1978 and ended V-tail Bonanza production with the V35B in 1982.

Design

The V35B retained the low wing, retractable tricycle landing gear, and combined rudder-elevator surfaces of the Model 35's V-tail. Its normal engine was the Continental IO-520-B.

Variants

Through 1971, buyers could order the turbocharged TSIO-520-D installation under the V35TC designation. The source counts those seven V35TC aircraft within the V35B production total.

Operations

The V35B served mainly as a personal and business transport. Its twelve-year production run yielded 1,335 aircraft, including the seven V35TCs.
