Lockheed 18

Manufacturer: LOCKHEED

The Lockheed Model 18 Lodestar was a twin‑engine, low‑wing transport that evolved from the Model 14 Super Electra. By stretching the fuselage 5 ft 6 in, it added two rows of seats, giving it a 10‑seat capacity that matched the performance of the DC‑3 while keeping operating costs lower. A total of 625 Lodestars were built between 1939 and 1945.
