The Van’s RV‑6 is a two‑seat, low‑wing homebuilt aircraft sold in kit form. It was the first Van’s model to offer side‑by‑side seating and the first to provide a nose‑wheel option. First flown in 1985, more than 2,700 kits have been completed and flown. The RV‑6 and its nose‑wheel variant, the RV‑6A, were replaced by the improved RV‑7 in 2001.
