The Van's RV-6 and RV-6A are two‑seat, single‑engine, low‑wing homebuilt aircraft sold as kits. The RV‑6 is a tail‑wheel version, while the RV‑6A features a nosewheel. It was the first RV model to offer side‑by‑side seating and a nosewheel option, first flown in 1985. More than 2,700 kits have been completed and flown before the series was replaced by the RV‑7 in 2001.
