The Van's RV-6 is a two‑seat, single‑engine, low‑wing kit aircraft sold by Van's Aircraft. It was the first in the RV series to offer side‑by‑side seating and a nosewheel option. First flown in 1985, more than 2,700 kits have been completed and flown. The RV‑6 and its nosewheel variant, the RV‑6A, were replaced by the improved RV‑7 in 2001.
