Vans Mdl RV-9A

Manufacturer: Vans Aircraft

The Van's RV‑9 and RV‑9A are American two‑seat, single‑engine, low‑wing homebuilt aircraft sold as kits by Van's Aircraft of Aurora, Oregon. The RV‑9 is a tail‑wheel model, while the RV‑9A has a tricycle nose‑wheel arrangement. Designed as a touring airplane, it trades the high‑speed, aerobatic focus of earlier RVs for stability, economy and docile handling. Its high‑aspect‑ratio wing uses a Roncz airfoil, giving a low stall speed and a respectable cruise of about 167 mph with a 118‑hp engine.
