The Van's RV‑6 and RV‑6A are two‑seat, single‑engine, low‑wing kit aircraft produced by Van's Aircraft. The RV‑6 is a tail‑wheel version, while the RV‑6A has a nosewheel. First flown in 1985, the RV‑6 introduced side‑by‑side seating to the RV series and was the first model to offer a tricycle‑gear option. More than 2,700 kits have been completed and flown, and the design was succeeded by the RV‑7 in 2001.
