Bell 205a-1

Manufacturer: BELL

The Bell 205a‑1 is a stretched, single‑engine variant of the Bell UH‑1 Iroquois, commonly called the Huey. Developed in the early 1960s, it was built to carry more troops and cargo than the original 204. The 205a‑1 retains the iconic two‑blade main rotor and Lycoming T53 turboshaft but features a longer fuselage and larger doors for rapid troop loading.
