Manufacturer
Luscombe Aircraft
Donald A. Luscombe founded the Luscombe Aircraft Development Corporation in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1933. The company became known for small all-metal light aircraft, especially the two-seat Luscombe 8 series, and moved its manufacturing operation to New Jersey in 1937. The original company's assets later passed through Temco after postwar financial difficulties, so the name's later use should not be presented as one uninterrupted corporate history.
