The Grumman G‑21 Goose is an amphibious flying boat built in the late 1930s. Designed as an eight‑seat commuter for Long Island businessmen, it became Grumman’s first monoplane, twin‑engined aircraft, and first to enter commercial airline service. During WWII it served as a transport, rescue, and training platform for the U.S. military and other air forces.
